Lisa Asuncion is Vice President of Sales at LaserAway and an IFBB Pro Bikini Competitor. She's here to share five tips on how to care for your skin before and after working out:

1. Drink enough water

Before hitting up the gym, you should make sure you bring plenty of water. Not only will this help you keep hydrated throughout your workout, but staying hydrated will also keep your skin supple, soft, and clear.

2. Load up on beauty essentials

If you're going straight to the gym from work, you should cleanse your skin before working out. Always carry a pack of makeup wipes along with a travel size version of your favorite facial cleanser. After cleansing your skin, apply a light moisturizer as well as SPF 50 sunscreen or higher to protect your skin. You should also cleanse your skin immediately after working out to prevent breakouts.

3. Put your hair up in a ponytail

To avoid getting dirt, oil, and sweat on your face during your workouts, be sure to put your hair up in a ponytail. This will help to keep your skin free of blemishes.

4. Apply some cosmetics

Who doesn't want to look good during workouts? Keep your lips moisturized while you exercise by applying a moisturizing lip oil beforehand. You can also sport waterproof mascara and water-resistant eyebrow gel.

5. Use dry shampoo in a pinch

If you don't have time to wash your hair right after going to the gym, refresh it instantly using some dry shampoo. It'll soak up all the oil and sweat.
