How to Find Your Inner GlowMost people are so obsessed with achieving an outer glow that they forget that cultivating their inner glow is just as important. Here are five tips for finding your inner glow:

1. Recite positive affirmations

A positive attitude can go a long way, but sometimes it's hard achieving one. Try writing yourself a sticky note at the end of each day that says something like, "You can do it!" Tape it to your fridge or laptop to help you remember to stay positive. Visualizing goals can be challenging, but once you do, positive affirmations can bring you closer to achieving them.

2. Hit the reset button

Just like your body needs a day off from exercise every once in a while, so does your mind. Allow yourself to have a reset day that enables you to recover emotionally. Log off of social media, engage in self-care, and reflect on your goals to let your mind recharge.

3. Practice gratitude

Take time each day to acknowledge everything you are grateful for in life by making a list, journaling about them, or saying them aloud. Specifically, try focusing on three things that you are grateful for that day. Then think of three times that you hope you can be grateful for in the future to help set your intentions. Practicing gratitude regularly will improve your outlook, allowing your inner glow to shine through.

4. Be aware of your breathing

The quickest way to lose your inner glow and sense of peace is to become stressed out. Reduce anxiety and quiet your thoughts by becoming aware of your breathing. Close your eyes and follow some deep breathing exercises to recenter yourself.

5. Love yourself

Each day, you're involved in activities that require you to give your energy away. Make sure you're replenishing your energy stores by engaging in self-care activities regularly, such as meditating, calling friends, going hiking, and cooking yourself a nice meal. Whatever it is, the important thing is that you relax your mind and indulge in thoughts that make you happy.

Let your soul shine

Finding your inner glow requires that you routinely practice self-care, self-acceptance, and compassion. If you need help finding your positivity center, close your eyes and think of the last time you laughed your butt off or felt entirely at ease. Conjure up that feeling and go from there.
