Homemade natural concealers
The artificial ingredients in many store-bought concealers are irritating — literally!
But making your own all natural concealer is easier than you think. Ditch the conventional stuff and instead try out these three recipes for all-natural concealers that deliver great coverage.
Moisturizing natural concealer
Prep time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons argan oil
- 1 teaspoon shea butter
- 1/2 teaspoon emulsifying wax
- 1 tablespoon aloe gel
- 1 teaspoon witch hazel
- 2 tablespoons zinc oxide
- 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon French clay
You'll also need a double boiler.
Directions
Melt the shea butter, argan oil, and emulsifying wax in a double boiler until completely melted. Then add the aloe and witch hazel, whisking until completely blended and smooth. Then turn the heat off and add the zinc and French clay. Finally, add the cocoa powder a little bit at a time until you’ve reached the desired color. It should be lighter than your skin tone so that it lightens your skin. Test it on your skin to ensure you’ve gotten the shade right. Spoon the mixture into a jar and allow it to cool.
Adding more zinc oxide will provide more coverage. If you have super dark skin, you won’t need as much zinc. You can add more cocoa powder instead. This concealer also makes a fantastic cream for highlighting and contouring.

Coconut Mango Concealer

- 1/2 tablespoon mango butter
- 1/2 tablespoon shea butter
- 1 tablespoon white bentonite clay
- 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
- Yellow oxide
- Red oxide

- Brown oxide
You'll also need a double boiler.
Directions
Using a double boiler, melt the coconut oil, mango butter, and shea butter together on medium heat. Once everything is melted, remove from heat.
