How to decorate for Halloween parties

You've got your costume all set. Now it's time to plan the perfect Halloween party! Here are five spooky party ideas to give you some inspiration:

1. Make your place settings creepy

Go with a black-on-black table theme this Halloween. Simply stack a black dinner plate, black salad plate, charcoal linen napkin, and a single red rose at each place.

2. Create elegant centerpieces

Want a more sophisticated Halloween party? Create your own classy marbled pumpkins using warm water and nail polish. Fill a plastic container 3/4 full with lukewarm water and pour black nail polish into it. Then dip a small white pumpkin in the water mixture, holding the stem, and spin a bit. Remove from water and dry on some paper towels. Once dry, set your pumpkins around the house for some chic Halloween decor.

3. Embrace mason jars

Mason jars literally work for any occasion. Spookify them by decorating them with plastic spiders, spider webs, black nail polish, and tea lights.

4. Scatter tarot cards around

Throw a Halloween-themed girls' night that includes witches' hats, tarot cards, and an Ouija board. Complete it with cute Halloween cupcakes.

5. Decorate all of your house

Don't just spend all your time creating a perfect spooky table. Have fun decorating other areas of your home, too, with lanterns, dripping candlesticks, and homemade Halloween book covers.

Have a spooktacular celebration!

When it comes to decorating your living space for a Halloween party, the sky is the limit. You can choose to have a more elegant party or a downright fun and silly one. Whatever you choose, complete it with Halloween-themed food and drinks!
