All Glammed Up Final ISFresh from her memorable stint on Bravo's hit Shahs of Sunset, Jessica Parido has turned her sights on a bright new career horizon. Her fame she has parlayed into a formidable social media presence; her Instagram account boasts over 380,000 followers, and she's also active on Twitter. Add to this the role of fashion guru and you'll get a sense of how busy the former Mrs. Shouhed has been. Just last November she and her designer bestie Sahar Hersel opened the first physical retail space for their boutique, Glam Envy.

Jessica has been a LaserAway influencer since 2015, when she came in for hair removal and vlogged it. As huge fans of hers, we thought it high time we caught up. Recently, she sat down with us to talk style the Jessica Parido way.

Jessica Parido's passion for fashion

Where do you get inspiration for your amazing pieces?

Being based in LA, as you know, there’s beautiful people everywhere you go, and there’s so many amazing inspirations when you just walk down the street in LA. People of every single background are here, and it’s like a big melting pot. There’s constant inspiration everywhere I go.

All this inspiration flowing — what do you do with it?

I think that the biggest part of fashion is that it’s your own thing. It doesn’t need to necessarily be what the celebrities are wearing; it’s what you feel comfortable in. If it works for you, then you should do it. and that’s what I love about fashion: is everyone can do their own thing. There’s no such — there's no rules.

It's good that there are no fashion rules, because Glam Envy would rewrite them. How did this wonderful new boutique of yours come about?

So Glam Envy is the brainchild of myself and my business partner–slash–best friend Sahar. I was working as a nurse at the time, and I just felt like I needed something else — and I’ve always had a connection with fashion.

So what kind of woman leaves your shop the envy of everyone?

My favorite part of Glam Envy is that we literally have something for everyone. We carry from size extra small to 3X. And I love that when someone walks in, they can feel comfortable no matter what size or shape they are. Personally, I’m not stick figure skinny, so I wanted to make sure Glam Envy could make every single person feel comfortable and pretty. And I think it’s important that every woman should feel that way.

Glam Envy is such a great name. What's the idea behind it?

"Glam Envy" has a double meaning. We wanted everyone to be envious of our glam, but at an affordable price. And also I wanted to do something that'd really be so glam that people would be envious of us.

Well, you do stock some enviable pieces. What's your approach?

My business partner and I hand select every single piece that comes in the door, and we make sure that every piece is something that I personally would wear or that I think other people would love to wear.

We're dying to know: What are you lovin' these days, fashion-wise?

I’m really into like active wear right now. When I’m not at work, I’m wearing leggings and a sweatshirt, and I think that’s really popular. You can see girls going out full hair and makeup in active wear.

Are you obsessive about outfits, or pretty laid back?

For me, it's just whatever that day I wake up in the morning and I feel like wearing I can put on, and it’s cool because there’s no rules.

Life after Shahs looks to be sunny for Jessica. A cancer survivor, she has faced her share of challenges, and she has come through them bravely. We're sure Glam Envy will grow to be the envy of the LA fashion scene. There may be no rules to fashion, but we know a winner when we see one.
